Sony expands its 3D car GPS
Sony introduced two new models in its car GPS range of the XYZ series - devices that run on Linux and display the majority of Tokyo’s streets in 3D. Expect a price lower than $2500 for these GPS systems.
The NVXYZ777 and the EX, a 1DIN 30 GByte box, are MPEG1 and 2 compatible and they can also store audio files on the player via a USB 2.0 connection. To synchronize the files, users will have to use Sony’s SonicStage 3.1 software. The systems integrate a 6.5" WVGA touch screen with 800x480 pixel resolution resolution.
