Sony places order for portable DVD players with Taiwan maker CyberHome
CyberHome Entertainment (originally named Protop Innotech) has received OEM orders for portable DVD players from Sony, with shipments to begin early next quarter, according to the company.
Leading local makers of consumer optical disc drives, including Lite-On IT, BenQ, Quanta Storage, and Mustek System, were also interested in producing portable DVD players for Sony, industry sources pointed out.
