Sony, Intel consider home network alliance
Sony is currently in talks with Intel about a possible alliance in next-generation home appliance networks.
While Sony declined further comment, Jiji news agency reports the two companies will develop technologies that would allow easy transmission of visual images between personal computers and digital home appliances.
The firms reportedly would also develop gadgets using Sony's Memory Stick, a chewing gum-sized memory device which allows digitalis video images, music or computer files to be transferred among various sort of electronics devices.
