SonicWall adds low-cost SSL VPN appliance
SonicWall today announced an SSL VPN appliance designed for organizations of under 50 users.
The SSL VPN 200 allows remote and mobile users to securely connect to a network using only a Web browser to access e-mail, files, intranets and applications. The appliance also transparently pushes a downloadable thin client (NetExtender) to the user’s desktop or laptop for access to "more complex" applications.
The appliance does not provide firewall or Internet sharing functions and is designed to be used in conjunction with a SonicWALL PRO or TZ series firewall, or other third-party firewalls.
The SSL VPN 200 has no license restrictions on the number of concurrent user tunnels, but is recommended for networks using a maximum of ten concurrent tunnels in normal circumstances, or five concurrent tunnels in heavy usage scenarios.
Priced at $595, SonicWall’s SSL-VPN 200 appliance is available now.
