Solaris for Itanium in jeopardy?
The Register is citing "reliable sources" at the Intel Developer Forum in a report saying that plans may have been scrapped for a version of Sun Microsystem's Solaris operating system that supports the 64-bit Intel Itanium processor.
The report could be problematic for NCR, which has based its forthcoming Itanium systems on Solaris.
