Solarbuzz says worldwide solar photovoltaic cell installations grew 19% and hit 1,744 Megawatts in 2006. Germany led the way with 960 MW and had 55% of the world market. Total solar cell production hit 2204 MW which is up sharply from 1656 MW in the previous year.
