Software to search and record Internet radio
New software is set to further irritate the music lobby next week when users are given the power to find and record music in streaming audio from the many thousands of Internet radio broadcasts. Audio Mill's RadioActive Tuner reportedly searches thousands of streaming stations and records chosen songs for later playback. Current rules prohibit Web radio stations from serving songs on demand but the new software would give something very much like that service to users.
