Software breaks down language barriers
Autonomy says it has developed new software that breaks down language barriers between business applications.
Company officials say the Autonomy Content Infrastructure, or ACI, uses the firms's pattern-matching technology to analyze the meaning of documents, rather than look at keywords or embedded tags, thus allowing various applications such as email, Web documents, spreadsheets to share information.
More than 30 business application venders, including Intraspect, Sybase, Vignette and Oracle have reportedly made their products ACI-compliant.
