Snap Appliance bumps NAS capacities
Snap Appliance today announced upgraded capacity for its Snap Server 1100, 2200 and 4200 network-attached storage (NAS) products.
The Snap Server 1100 adds a new 250GB configuration to its existing 80GB and 160GB sizes and the Snap Server 2200 adds a 500GB offering to the current 320GB model (both support RAID 1 disk mirroring).
The Snap Server 4200 departmental NAS product is now available with 640GB and includes hot-swappable drives, integrated anti-virus, local backup software, Microsoft Active Directory support, snapshot technology and dual Gigabit Ethernet networking support.
All products support "most major network clients and platforms" including Linux, Windows, Macintosh and UNIX.
The 250GB Snap Server 1100, 500GB Snap Server 2200, and 640GB Snap Server 4200 are available immediately at MSRPs of $999, $1,999 and $3,495 respectively.
