SMIC denies low-cut prices, claims prices within 5% of TSMC's
Shanghai-based Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) reiterated that it has not used a low-price strategy to lure business from Taiwan. Company chairman Richard Chang had come to Taiwan last December to address these rumors, but they continued to circulate in the IC design industry.
