Smellovision possible by end of year
Digiscents Inc., of Oakland, California, hopes to release its iSmell device, that releases scented component oil according to instructions downloaded from Web sites very much like audio or graphic files, within the year. The system uses a palette of 128 chemicals in replacable cartridges to create more complex odors. Procter & Gamble announced an alliance with DigiScents this week that may be aimed at marketing their scented products over the Web.
