SMC rolls out three Barricade VPN endpoint routers
SMC Networks just announced the addition of two wired and one 802.11g wireless VPN-endpoint routers to its Barricade line of secure Broadband routers.
The SMCBR14VPN Barricade VPN 4-Port Broadband Router, SMCBR18VPN Barricade VPN 8-port Broadband Router, and SMCBR14VPN-G Barricade g VPN 4-port Broadband Router/802.11g access point are all based on a new routing platform that includes VPN-endpoint capability.
SMC says the new line will support VPN tunnel origination and termination for IPSec, PPTP and L2TP protocols. All members of the new line also have a serial port for auto fail-over or normal use with dial-up or ISDN connections.
Other features include an SPI-based firewall, SNMP, static routing, DMZ, port forwarding, logging, e-mail alerts, and two user management accounts.
The SMCBR14VPN, SMCBR18VPN and SMCBR14VPN-G will be available in mid-April at suggested lists of $99.99, $129.99 and $179.99, respectively.
