SMC releases pumped up 11b card
SMC Networks
today launched
its EliteConnect
High Power wireless networking line with the introduction of the SMC2532W-B 2.4GHz 802.11b High Power Wireless PC Card
.
The new 802.11b card has 200mW of transmit power , which SMC says is about twice the power available from the closest competing products. The card also allows connection of higher-gain antennas via two MMCX connectors.
The SMC2532W-B will be available at the beginning of April for $140 suggested list.
