SMC intros 11g router, USB print server
SMC Networks today introduced the SMC2804WBRP-G Barricade g 2.4GHz 54Mbps Wireless Broadband Router with USB Print Server. SMC says the product is the first 802.11g router to include a USB print server.
The Intersil PRISM-based 802.11g router features a 4-port 10/100 Mbps auto MDI-MDIX switch, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN) pass-through support and dual upgradeable antennas. It also supports Intersil’s PRISM Nitro throughput enhancement technology.
Other features include 802.1x support, Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), SSID broadcast disable, MAC address filtering, 64/128 bit WEP encryption and URL / keyword website blocking.
The SMC2804WBRP-G will be available October 15th for $130 suggested list.
