Small-talk from Transmeta next week
Next week at the PC Expo in New York, Transmeta will reveal which manufacturers will be selling laptops built around their Crusoe TM 5400 notebook chips and what those computers can actually do. Reportedly, IBM, NEC and other manufacturers will show ultralights that feature long battery life, taking advantage of the chip properties and power management software.
