Sling Media TV takes flight
Sling Media delivered on its promise Thursday to market software hooks that extend the range of home TVs to mobile devices, in a move that could end up testing the limits of cellular networks.
The San Mateo, California-based startup announced the availability of a beta version of SlingPlayer Mobile, a software product that allows users of the company’s flagship product, Slingbox, to view shows on their home TV from a mobile device.
