Skype to offer money transfers
Skype will soon be offering money transfers through PayPal. This news comes from Skype’s co-founder Niklas Zennstrom as he spoke to attendees of a technology conference in Silicon Valley. While Zennstrom didn’t specify when the service will be available, Skype officials confirmed that money transfers will be introduced in one month.
Skype has 171 million international users and it makes perfect business sense for its owner eBay, who also owns PayPal. An integrated money transfer function would eliminate the need to hop back and forth of Skype and an additional browser window.
