Installation is simple and may be completed in just a few minutes. Users needn't worry about applying thermal paste to this unit, either: it's already applied to the cooler's contact surface.

Precisely applied: a view of the thermal paste layer after the cooler's been mated to the CPU.

To protect the unit during shipment, a plastic cover shields the contact surface
Before you can position the cooler onto the retention module, you must first remove both screws.

Next, the cooler is placed in its cradle inside the retention module, and is attached using the two screws. This procedure will only be problematic when the backplate isn't glued onto the motherboard; in that case, you'll have to remove the motherboard from the case to put all the parts in correctly.
