As long as the backplate is glued to the motherboard, this installation may be completed in just a few minutes. No further action is needed, except to remove both screws in the retention module from the motherboard and fasten the cooler down using its own built-in screws instead. The whole process should take adept users less than five minutes to complete.

Fasteners for Pentium 4 (left) and Socket A (right). To fasten the cooler onto a Socket 939 motherboard no additional hardware is needed - the screws are already attached to the cooler itself.
