SIS releases 939-pin Athlon 64 chipset
Taiwanese chipset maker Silicon Integrated Systems (SIS) said it has released its 755FX chipset, which it claims is the first with support for the 939 pin version of AMD’s Athlon 64 FX microprocessors. "The chipset also supports a 1GHz Hypetransport interface and AGP8X, SIS said. As well as Hypetransport, SIS uses a technology it calls Hypesctreaming and will give a front side bus transmission speed of up to 8GB/s."
