SiS predicts great chipset shipment growth, but limited revenue increase
Despite the unclear prospects for the PC market in the third quarter, chipset supplier Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) is expected to enjoy significant shipment growth in the second half with the increasing number of Pentium 4 and Socket 478-based Celeron products. However, facing fierce price competition in market, SiS predicts that it may not be able to see a very good gross profit margin.
