SiS and Rambus just announced an expansion of the RDRAM licensing agreement between the companies. SiS expanded their license with Rambus to include the current generation of RDRAM technology, known as Direct RDRAM , which lets SiS integrate RDRAM IP into future products. According to The Inquirer , this is a major step for both SiS and Rambus because, until now, the only company building P4/Rambus chipsets was Intel.
