Taiwan's Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) says it is shipping production quantities of both an SDRAM chipset and a DDR SDRAM chipset for Intel Corp.'s upcoming Tualatin 1.13-gigahertz Pentium III chip. The Tualatin is expected midyear. Intel will modify its own 815 chipset for Tualatin support, competing with SiS and other third party chipset makers. SiS's Tualatin SiS633T and SIS635T chipsets are going to Taiwanese and other Asian motherboard makers in preparation for the Tualatin introduction.
