If you want a very large display then Barco's iWall may be the solution. It uses four projectors to seamlessly display a 2400 X 1920 image. Each image is calibrated so that the color and contrast matches the other three pictures. We walked up to the display and couldn't tell where one project image started and the next one stopped.

Hoodman

If you have ever tried to look at an LCD screen outside, you know how the sunlight just kills the image. You probably have tried blocking the light by cupping your hands over the LCD to provide a shield so that you can see. Hoodman, a company that has been around for 17 years, has a very simple solution. They manufacture light blocking hoods for cameras, camcorders and laptops.

In the above picture we see a Hoodman with integrated viewfinder attached to the LCD screen of a digital camera. The viewfinder allows the photographer to put his eye right up to the hood and see a magnified version of the LCD screen. This blocks all other ambient light and really brings a clear, sharp and bright picture for the photographer.

A simple LCD wrap-around hood for camcorders helps with outside filming. These are very inexpensive at around $20 to $30.

Ever tried to look at your laptop screen outside? Chances are that it doesn't look that great. Hoodman makes laptop hoods that fit over the top and around the LCD screen. Officials at Hoodman admit that in the future, hoods won't be needed as LCDs will become much brighter.
