Sharp rumored to be planning China partnership for 6G LCD panel production
Sharp is planning to build a sixth-generation (6G) TFT LCD plant with China-based Shanghai SVA-NEC Liquid Crystal Display (SVA-NEC) to satisfy its TV panel needs, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News. The paper quoted Masuyoshi Takaoka, division general manager, Marketing Center AVC Liquid Crystal Display Group, Sharp, in saying the company has no knowledge of the rumor.
