Sharky updates Voodoo3 scores
Sharky updates Voodoo3 scores
The Sharky Extreme web site has updated all of its Forsaken scores for the Voodoo3 3500, based on a new board and a new set of drivers from 3dfx/STB.
Initial testing of the STB board had resulted in v-sync issues that were traced back to a bug in an unreleased beta driver that had not been sent through the QA process, according to an STB official, but problems were caught and corrected following the tests.
In re-running some of the other benchmarks, Sharky Extreme editor in chief Alex "Sharky" Ross noted that the new drivers had an increase over the old versions of about 5 percent in most cases.
