Senators demand Carnivore data
Members of the US Senate Judiciary Committee are pressuring the FBI to come forward with more information on the e-surveillance system. Members of both parties have asked FBI Director Louis Freeh to explain why Carnivore was built with the capability of capturing and saving all unfiltered traffic transmitted through an ISP. They have also asked for "complete and non-redacted copies" of heavily censored documents the FBI has provided investigators.
