Semiconductor supply-chain inventory swells during 3Q and 4Q
Excess inventory for the third quarter doubled sequentially to $1.6 billion and is expected to edge down marginally to $1.5 billion by the end of the fourth quarter, according to iSuppli. These figures include inventory across the supply chain, starting from chipmakers to distributors.
