Second Hand Smoke: Moddin' and Lovin' Rupert Murdoch
As frequent reader of Tom’s Hardware Guide, it’s most likely no news to you that Ruper Murdoch is dipping into the video gaming world by buying IGN. Omid’s shares some thoughts on Murdoch’s latest move and the readership he is reaching for :
From his post :
"I may not care for his politics, but he is The Man when it comes to the media business. A little older than my dad, and half as sprightly, he still manages to "get" the younglings of this world. Now, if you are not a member of the Fat Cat Stock Raker community obsessing about profits, of which IGN has less than none, you will probably note that Murdoch’s recent acquisitions in the darker spaces of the Internet are, to say the least, very much in the post-adolescent trend, and kinda funky to look at."
