Be A THG Tester

This one's tricky, and I may be asking for a deluge of email, but I need some more THG testers, and reviewers, perferably in the Santa Barbara County, Calfiornia area, or within a 100 mile radius of Santa Barbara.

To qualify, you need to have the usual technical qualifications and experience, but more importantly, you have to have the following qualities:

Insomnia - yes, sometimes we work through the night, but we love the work so, it doesn't seem too bad when we wake up with our heads on the keyboard, and drool on the ol' backslash key. Thick skin - you can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs, and you can't do honest, independent hardware reviews without upsetting someone, somewhere. You have to be tough enough to withstand the inquiring minds of our readers, and smart enough to stand by your work. Tee shirt ethically bound - don't want to be doing this work if you think it means free hardware and lots of tee shirts with company logos. We don't do it that way. Freebies R Not Us. Inquisitive - you have to like to go where no man has gone before. Impervious to PR roadblocks, and marketing hype, you have to be able to challenge hardware on its merits. No trash talking - we're not in the business of knocking products, but we are in the business of evaluating them. Sometimes you have to call it as you see it, but it has to be about finding the truth. This isn't a platform for hardware ideology, or rants. Local - you have to be within striking distance of the office hence the geographical bounds. Literacy - it helps if you can write, but you don't have to be funny, witty, clever, or poetic. You do have to be precise, and clear, and thoughtful in your writing.
