Where's The Mainstream Press

Finally, in all this, where was the mainstream press? Sure, Taiwan is a big trip for US tech journalists, but Computex doesn't fit neatly into anyone's planning.
The vast majority of computer users don't really know as much as they should about the components inside their computers, let alone who made them. But, as you can see from the picture below of what I call disco mice, there's plenty to entertain, educate, as well as inform the general public.

It's a shame that Computex doesn't get the mainstream attention it deserves. It's a bit like Comdex was in its early days. Then again, the mainstream press didn't catch on to Comdex for a long time until they started building bigger, brighter resorts on the Strip in Las Vegas.
