The Unix software vendor has rejected suggestions that the email indicates that the company launched its claims without any evidence, maintaining that the survey it refers to "shows that there are problems with Linux", according to a company statement.
The email, posted on community legal web site Groklaw late last week, was sent to SCO’s senior vice president, Reg Broughton, in August 2002 from engineer, Michael Davidson, and then forwarded by Broughton to SCO’s CEO, Darl McBride.
