Samsung ships more than 15 million GDDR3 memory units
Samsung said it shipped more than 15 million units of its Graphics Double Data-Rate (GDDR3) graphic memory in 2004. The memory currently is available in a 128 MByte version for notebooks as well as 256 and 512 MByte versions for desktops. Clock speeds of the 8x32 graphics memory are 500 and 700 MHz and offers 56 percent more performance than GDDR1 memory. (THG)
