Samsung snatches top LCD TV position from Sharp, says iSuppli
Sharp was toppled from the top spot, falling to the fourth place, and replaced by Samsung Electronics in the LCD TV market in the fourth quarter of 2006, according to market research firm iSuppli. The dramatic shake-up in LCD TV market share is due to the rapid progress made by Sharp’s competitors and their capability to capitalize on declining prices during the holiday season.
