Samsung SDI to begin plasma display panel production at second line
Samsung SDI should soon take the lead in PDP (plasma display panel) production capacity. The company will shortly begin volume production at a second line, with a monthly capacity of 65,000 units, and increase its total PDP monthly capacity to 105,000 units. The current leader, Fujitsu-Hitachi Plasma Display (FHP), has a monthly capacity of 75,000 units.
