Samsung releases 1GB DDR notebook memory
South Korean chip goliath Samsung said it has started shipping 1GB double data rate (DDR) 400 modules for notebook machines. "It claimed it is first to release this type of memory in volume, and said the memory outperformed the older DDR 266 memory by 50% at peak bandwidth."
