Samsung retakes LCD crown from LG.Philips LCD in Q3
In the third quarter of this year, global large-size TFT LCD shipments increased 20 pecent sequentially and 79 percent on year to 61.1 million panels on the strength of LCD TV modules, with larger-than-20" TV panels capturing 65 percent of TV panel shipments and 84 percent of revenues, according to DisplaySearch.
Samsung Electronics overtook LG.Philips LCD to capture the top position in large-size TFT LCD unit shipments with 4.09 million units shipped per month.
