Samsung aims at strong flat-panel TV shipments in 2007

Although a price war is expected to intensify for flat-panel TVs throughout 2007, Samsung is still positive about its performance and aims to ship 11 million LCD TVs and 2.5 million PDP (plasma display panel) TVs this year, according to Samsung. Samsung shipped 6.5 million LCD TVs and 1.5 PDP TVs, respectively, in 2006, according to research firm DisplaySearch.
