Samsung to drastically increase hiring and R & D investment
Korean newspapers are reporting that Samsung, the Korean electronics giant, will plunk $47 billion into research and development over the next five years. Part of this investment will involve hiring of 30,000 R & D staff. Samsung is a large conglomerate that does everything from cell phone manufacturing to shipbuilding. The company sees continued growth in Flash memory and nanotechnology.
