Samsung hikes capex by one trillion won
According to a Reuters report on July 4, the Korea Economic Daily quoted industry sources as saying that Samsung Electronics would increase its 2002 capital expenditures by one trillion won, from an originally projected 4.55 trillion won. The additional funds will be used to expand production for 12" wafers, fifth-generation (5G) TFT LCDs and mobile phones.
