Samsung Electronics plans to increase 5G TFT LCD line capacity
After LG.Philips LCD's recent decision to build a second fifth-generation (5G) TFT LCD line, Samsung Electronics also disclosed that it plans to increase its 5G line's monthly processing capacity from 60,000 to 100,000 substrates next year. South Korean securities analysts said Samsung will need to invest an additional 400 billion to 500 billion won for the expansion project.
