Samsung to volume produce 82" panel for specialty market
Samsung Electronics said it will start volume producing 82" panels for digital intelligence displays (DIDs), rather than for LCD TVs, by processing seventh-generation (7G) glass substrates, starting from this November, according to the Korean-language Electronic Times, Seoul. The 82" directional panel will be used in the DID market, for applications that include indoor and outdoor advertisement bulletin boards in airports, museums and subways.
