    Monday 29 April 2002 – 07:00
In the first part of this review, we examined six monitors in close detail. We tested products from ADI, Compaq, CTX, NEOVO, Philips and Solarism. They are based on a variety of technologies, including TN + Film, IPS, and MVA. We especially spent a lot of time studying the ergonomics of the various models, real-time response, and the color spectrum-not forgetting the technical improvements that are expected by the end of the year.
  • 17" LCD Part V: Four Panels Compared*
    Wednesday 5 November 2003 – 06:00

  • Review: 20" LCD S-IPS Panels*
    Friday 16 January 2004 – 06:00
Two IPS panels with very fast response times have entered the market at the same time. The first, by Sharp (20ms), is used in the Eizo L885. The second, an LG-Philips (16ms) is used in the Philips 200P4. IPS-type panels are famous for their very wide angles of vision and more-or-less uniform response time. So will these panels represent the ultimate solution for everyone, including gamers, graphic artists, photographers and people who just appreciate big screens?
  • ViewSonic Overdrive LCDs: A New Era of Very Fast Panels?*
    Thursday 26 May 2005 – 07:00
ViewSonic says its first LCD panel to offer a new gray-to-gray response time calculation and "Overdrive" signal technology is bursting with speed. Given the traditional disconnect between LCD vendors' claims and reality, we thought we would pit ViewSonic's TN VP192s LCD with a black-to-white latency of 12 ms, against its new VP191b with a purported GTG response time of 8 ms.
