    CES 2007: Roadmaster shows programmable license plate frame We checked out Roadmaster's booth at CES today - although it didn't really fit the trend of most other in-car products around the show. While Roadmaster does not have a whole lot of entertainment products, it does have interesting Bluetooth technology devices and rear-view video camera systems. And then there was a programmable license plate frame.

    Lukewarm response to Microsoft's offer to share Windows code In public statements yesterday, EC Commissioner for Competition Neelie Kroes rendered an unofficial, preliminary rejection of Microsoft's offer to create a new licensing program for releasing its Windows source code, claiming that code is not self-explanatory as to the nature of how Windows works. Microsoft also didn't get the response it had hoped for from the rest of the world. Did the "barriers to entry" finally come tumbling down, not with a bang, but a whimper?
