Vista in 2007: Microsoft delays an OS, postpones an industry*

According to Microsoft co-president Jim Allchin, the delay of the release of Windows Vista until after the holidays was requested by partners, who shall remain unnamed, and who apparently believed a January launch would be easier to manage than a November one. As impossible as that might seem, there's the first trickle of evidence to back him up.
