Market-research firm DisplayBank is claiming that prices for large-size TFT-LCD panels are expected to bottom out next month as there is no room for major South Korea panel makers, such as Samsung Electronics and LG.Philips LCD, to cut their 17" panel prices any further. -

Samsung Electronics is reportedly considering adopting 1,500x1,800mm as its standard substrate processing size for sixth-generation (6G) TFT LCD production lines, the same as that to be used by Sharp, instead of the previously intended 1,370x1,670mm, according to the Korea Economic Daily.
