ATi's Next Generation Technology Feature Set So what's all this fuss about? ATi looked at the current trend and did a little research with developers to come up with a rather complete list of features. This would be an excellent feature for having characters lip sync their dialogue. Consequently this feature might not improve pixel fill-rate but it'll definitely boost that Texel rate through the roof. Motion Blur and Depth of Field are both supported but no details were given about the performance aspects when these features are used....

Also, because the new technology will cost more early on, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to buy Centrino 2 laptops for the same price range with the features of the models I discuss here. One difference, though, is that the HP comes with Vista Business, which has some features you won’t find in the other five laptops in this guide. Vista Business also features built-in remote desktop access and the ability to use your laptop to send and receive faxes and images. Vista Business doesn’t support “fun and games features” such as Media Center, so you won’t have as much fun with a Vista Business based laptop, but you’ll be happy with it if you plan to use your laptop mostly for serious work. Although the Sony VGN-NR460E/P and VGN-NR460E/L models feature slightly less impressive CPU, memory and hard disk options than the Dell Inspiron and Toshiba laptops, there is still some basic value to be had here....

There are two flavours on offer from the new hw6900 series; they're largely similar, though the hw6915 features a 1.3 megapixel camera and the option to record voice (features which the cheaper hw6910 lacks). Both feature GPRS, GPS and run Windows Mobile 5. The hw6900s effectively offer an expansion on the hw6500 series, adding new features where necessary. Earlier iPAQ's featured a somewhat tragic touch screen typing system; fortunately the hw6900 series features a full hardware "qwerty" keyboard, which means most users will at least be respond to mail at a decent rate and further lends itself to the series' Office applications. Of course, the one respect in which the hw6900 suffers for its panoply of features is its sheer bulk (7.1cm x 11.8cm x 1.8cm)....

We'll take a look at what new features this OS has to offer, run through some benchmarks and give you some general feedback on this OS. What's New? Of that list, only two features are of any real big interest to many of us at best. Another major note was the inability to have this feature enabled while running Sysmark 2000. Sysmark 2000 runs were all completed with this featured disabled for obvious reasons. I found that even after disabling this feature, it mysteriously toggled itself back on at times....

As well as increased hard disk capacity, the 60Gb model incorporates wi-fi compatibility and features slots for Memory Stick, SD and Compact Flash data cards. The hardware recognition is accurate and the software reacts as would be expected; however, innovative use of this feature has yet to be seen. There are no disc writing features in the PlayStation 3 and the hard disk cannot be used as a TV recorder, but there are plenty of other uses for the PS3's HDD. Game demos and movie previews can be downloaded from Sony's PlayStation Store, which is directly accessible from the OS. Audio can be ripped to the hard disk at any bit rate and in virtually every format (Sony's own ATRAC standard is featured), while movies can also be ripped from cameras, data CDs and flash cards. Besides a hotlink to the PlayStation Store, there is a built-in Internet browser, a chat feature and a friends list for online gaming....

Its state of the art features, good performance and great overclockability gradually make it the better choice than its predecessor 440BX.. Both have the same basic features: AGP 4x, 4 PCI, 3 DIMM, AC97 sound system using an Analog Devices codec and the AMR slot. I found two interesting features on this board. Azza provides a fully featured connector (between GMCH and the external connectors). Of course you will find BIOS updates and product specifications, but detailed feature descriptions (e.g. of AIR Bus and KeyBIOS) are missing....

Exciting new features, designs, and the promise of more to come. The ATC-110 is made of aluminum alloy and features a solid quality door covering the front drive bays. The case featured no bend or twist, which is a testament to the quality of the case. The case does not feature any removable drive bays, but installation is easy due to the slide out motherboard tray and the two removable side panels. While the ATC-110 did not feature a window on the side of the case, were are told that replacement side panels featuring a window are available for the case at additional cost....
