  • The Overclocker's Dream: Kryotech's Home of Cool Computing - Articles & reviews

The Overclocker's Dream: Kryotech's Home of Cool Computing. the overclocker. They are simply using the same cooling technique as we all do when trying to keep our Coke or beer cool OK, so since this cooling technique is working like a fridge, it requires pretty much the same components. There has to be a compressor (as in a fridge, it's that thing that you can hear when it starts running after you left the door open too long) in the system case, there has to be an opening where the hot air comes out and then there's a special 'head' attached to the device that's meant to be cooled, Kryotech calls it 'CPU capsule'. This nice cooling technique cools the CPU down to -40 degrees Celsius and allows clock rates never accomplished before....

  • KryoTech's Cool Athlon 800MHz - Articles & reviews

Just when we thought we had seen the best of the best, KryoTech gives us one of their Cool Athlon 800MHz rigs to test. Kryotech, 'The House of Cool Computing' has been the leader in CPU-cooling technology for quite a while. AMD's past processors were good performers, but they weren't quite fast enough in all of the computing aspects, even when cooled and thus clocked a lot higher than their original specs. This puts Kryotech's Cool Athlon in the position of not only passing Intel's top-performers, but really leaving them in the dust. Finally Kryotech is able to show what they really can do, not only in terms of cooling technology, but also in terms of vast performance....

  • Would You Rather Have Air Cooling Or CPU Water Cooling? - Articles & reviews

Would You Rather Have Air Cooling Or CPU Water Cooling?. portable. In our test, the mobile cooling solution completely won us over, not least of all thanks to its simple installation and superb cooling performance.. The clincher in favor of water cooling remains its substantially higher cooling performance. The higher the thermal conductivity of the material used, the "better" the CPU can be cooled. The "cooled" water flows from the outlet side of the radiator back into the CPU water block....

  • Very Important: Permanent Cooling For The LCD Panel - Articles & reviews

Very Important: Permanent Cooling For The LCD Panel. supersize your tv for. Because of the incredibly high power consumption of the lamp (400 W), our homemade projector needs sufficient cooling - the integrated fan in the Liesegang projector just doesn't cut the mustard. The initial sign of the display overheating is a brown ring that appears in the area that gets too hot, which shrinks again when the unit is cooled....

  • Cooling Capacity - Articles & reviews

The cooling head is similar to that of the Big Typhoon Purely passive cooling is only possible to a certain extent, of course. Needless to say, our Pentium 4 580 wouldn't work with passive cooling. An Athlon XP and a Winchester Athlon 64 can be passively cooled without any problem, however. At $45, this unit offers very good cooling capacity at a fair price....

  • Water Cooling Your System Like The Pros - Articles & reviews

Water Cooling Your System Like The Pros. water cooling your system like the pros. Have you always thought water cooling was cool, but been afraid you would never be able to put a water-cooled system together yourself? Many of us don't really care how the system is cooled as long as it works. However, if you have the desire to be as cool as your system is, you might look into alternative methods like water cooling. In June, we helped enthusiasts build water cooling systems on their own with DIY Water Cooling 101...

  • Cooling Devices - Articles & reviews

This heat can kill these devices if they are not properly cooled. Cooling ensures that it runs stably and smoothly. Heat Pipes Especially passively cooled graphics cards rely on heat pipe cooling solutions. The development allows small devices to be attached to larger cooling elements in order to provide adequate cooling for ever shrinking components, such as graphics processing units (GPU) and central processing units (CPUs). Many processor cooling devices with heat pipe elements are on the market, and we are thus seeing more graphics cooling solutions incorporating heat pipe technology. ...

  • Sytrin KuFormula SHF1: Hard Drive Cooling - Articles & reviews

Sytrin KuFormula SHF1: Hard Drive Cooling. holiday buyers guide 2006 uk. Cooling can mean more than just the processor: many components inside a modern PC dissipate heat, and won't mind being cooled properly for the sake of longer component life. Sytrin's KuFormula VF1 has been a very convincing cooling solution for graphics processors; now we have received the hard drive cooling kit SHF1 for the Holiday Buyers' Guide....

  • Yorkfield at 5 GHz with Water Cooling? - Articles & reviews

We've already seen how Intel's latest quad core CPU can easily push 4.0 GHz on air cooling, but how far will liquid cooling take it? While these new processors might run "cool" on nothing more than a heat sink and fan, extreme cooling has always been the "trick" to reaching the highest overclocked speeds. The only way to break this never-ending loop of voltage and heat is to increase cooling capacity. Extreme overclockers have used wild cooling methods - including dry ice and even liquid nitrogen - but none of these is practical for daily use. The next step towards "daily use" practicality has come from cascade-type phase change (refrigeration) units, where the primary cooler is itself cooled by a second cooler, but these are expensive, complicated, and require skills beyond those of most builders....

  • Water Cooling Comes To New Hitachi Notebook - News

Water Cooling Comes To New Hitachi Notebook. water cooling comes to new hitachi notebook. The Flora 270W Silent Model uses a water-based solution tank, instead of a fan or fans for cooling down the processor. Plastic panels separate these water-cooling elements from high-voltage areas, in case of a leak from the cooling system. Still here at THG we will have to reserve judgement till we see it, but the possibility is exciting, but I just don't know about carrying around a liquid cooled notebook, judging by the way that I treat my current notebook, I might be in for a lot of problems....
