Western Digital WD2500JD: The Old Guard

The WD2500JD was the first SATA drive that Western Digital brought to market. It uses three disk platters, each with about 90 GB of storage capacity. WD also includes 8 MB of onboard cache, along with a SATA I interface.
Today, while this drive is no longer one of the fastest performers, it still offers acceptable performance. Because this unit is built around first generation SATA, it doesn't support more advanced features such as command queuing.
