Ron Jeremy Says Violent Games Bad, Sex Good!
Porn star says sex is beautiful and natural (duh) but violent video games are definitely NOT.
During CES earlier this year, porn star legend Ron Jeremy trekked over from the Adult Entertainment Expo to speak at a panel. During his discussion, his comment saying that violent video games were more harmful to children than pornography.
"[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on kids," said Jeremy.
Ron Jeremy wrote in a Kotaku post a response to those who thought he was off his rocker.
"Sex is a natural, beautiful thing and a huge part of life. Medical and psychological experts agree that the act of intercourse and the associated hormones released actually improve happiness and well-being, but American culture shies away from celebrating or even mentioning it," Jeremy wrote. "Sex is treated in most of mainstream media like a dirty, evil thing."
He continues, "In contrast, there is nothing natural or beautiful about violence. Unlike sex, the average person will likely not kill anyone in their lifetime, thank God. And yet the American public glorifies violence on television and in video games. In most of the popular video games out there today, your character runs around blowing people's heads off or stabbing people to death as sprays of blood cover the screen. Would you really rather have your kids watching this than watching sex?"
"Two of the most popular industries in America are video games and porn," Jeremy adds. "No one bats an eye at murdering an old woman in a video game, but covering up nipple is every parents group's crusade."
Jeremy does clarify that he's not trying to knock the video game industry, but he is making an effort to stand up for the porn industry.

Age ratings are there to ensure that gore - as well as pornography - are kept away from children.
Sex is not an appropriate as a form of entertainment for this age group. Further, the vast majority of very mild 'voilence' within this age group mostly deals with imaginary entities i.e. Mario or Batman. Children are emotionally and physically equipped to deal with these things..it's human nature; it burns off energy, encourages interaction and tells a child they're 'good' fighting 'evil' and that their powers must be used wisely.
The latter is act is not a part of being a child for obvious reasons; they are not emotionally or physically equipped to deal with it or any resulting scenario and there is no shortage of absolute gutter snipe that would jump at the opportunity to change that for their benefit. Sexual imagery including revealing an adult woman's nipple should not be anywhere near a child a kid's computer game.
I'd also like to ask, what he thinks most of the popular video games are? Has he never heard of the Nintendo WII console? Mario? has he never seen the way these games encourage families to interact, and stay healthy?
I don't mind anyone standing up for the porn industry, as long as it's within the boundaries of adult entertainment.
?????????? violent video games were more harmful to children than pornography. ?????????
Don't show your children either. If you are! Then you are more harm to your child than anything else.
Maybe his point was, the site of a naked body doesn't harm.
I wouldn't want to stand next to one of them on a packed train. unless, it belonged to a woman that sometimes wears a firefox t-shirt for this site. Then I'm all up for it.
Just another idiot with simple-minded ideas about "natural" and "beautiful". Killing in some games is an art and beauty is a perfectly valid term. (Think air rockets in Quake 3
)
What I don't understand is, why is he concerned with Porn vs Gaming? Or Sex vs Gaming? If I were to make an argument in this manner is could say that breathing air is more healthy than having sex.
Since when is violence not a part of nature? I bet he never watched Animal Planet.. I saw a lion kill a antilope and it did not look pretty with all the flying bodyparts and all. 'Eating is a natural, beautiful thing and a huge part of life' they oughty say.
Nature is gruesome and since humankind is still to be considered an animal, humans are killers. Only humansociety deemed it inappropriate to go around and kill people, which I am thankful for. But to deny it's not natural to kill is pure nonsense.
if violence isnt natural, then why do small kids start beating each other before they can speak or even have sex with each other?
Why are we concerned about the opinion of Ron Jeremy?
I have no idea actually, lol.
Sex has the capacity to bring out far more violent thoughts and tendencies than violent video games ever could, that's why sexual content is not safe for children.
